The main first floor living room is transformed by correcting the scale of the fireplace and giving better meter to the room by balancing scale with the opposing recessed art niche.
Art was commissioned for the constructed art niche to compliment the interiors keeping the palette initially versatile. During the project, the clients’ approach to art broadened and this opened up discussions regarding media and one’s emotional connections with art. Art was acquired for most every room on the first level. Sources for the art included artist studios, galleries, art shows and from auction.
